Facebook iPhone app gets a complete overhaul

The Facebook iPhone app will soon move from version 2.5 to version 3.0 and they are completely overhauling the interface design to go with this new version. The changes are long overdue and looks like it will finally leave the web application style design and functionality in favor of a more fully embrace a more intuitive iPhone friendly interface. It is the first time I have seen the brand using these line and flat color illustration style icons. You can check out the application Facebook’s fan page to get all the details and even some videos of the interface in action. It was submitted to Apple on the 16th so depending on how long the process takes it should be surfacing for public consumption soon.
