One of the best things about returning to work in New York is that I can once again thanks to some of my connections take in some of the shows at New York Fashion Week. I am also very aware the ability to attend anything at Fashion Week is something that every fashion interested person in my social network would give a small fortune to be a part of but 99% never will.
FacesofNYFW.com looks to try to change that problem by giving the world at least a visual account of whats really going down in media and social media at NYFW 2012. The site aggregates the work of aspiring fashion photographers working for the site, VIP attendees and the general public through the Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr streams for #NYFW. The result is a contact sheet style visual design that lets you scroll through everything that is happening and see it refresh in real time as new photos are added to the page. The mix of professional, editorial and amateur photography give a good overall picture of what the scene is like inside the tents and the visual presentation makes it a better experience than any other sites I have seen this year.
