My weekly inspirations: October 29, 2012

Sorry that there weren’t any posts this week but Hurricane Sandy brought NYC and my productivity to it’s knees.  My offices are barely open with teams scattered all over the place and my house still has no power so doing anything online has been extremely challenging.

Here are the things that I think are worth reading and checking out this week (even if you have no power and have to read them in a dark house on your iPad over 4G):

Google Now: behind the predictive future of search

Impressive in-depth article on Google Now. In a single app, the company has combined its latest technologies: voice search that understands speech like a human brain, knowledge of real-world entities, an understanding of who and where you are, and most of all its expertise at ranking information.
