Restaurant uses Instagram to create a consumer generated menu

It used to be that when you saw pictures of the food on your menu at a restaurant it was a sign that you probably weren’t about to have a great culinary experience. But technology changes everything and I saw a great new use of Instagram the other day at a restaurant called Comodo here in New York City.  They launched a campaign encouraging diners to take photos of their food and upload them to Instagram using #comodomenu as a hashtag. This way when new diner come in to eat they are able to search the hashtag and see what the entire menu looks like.
