Pinterest grows up with new business pages


When you see statistics like 59% of Pinterest users have purchased an item they saw on the site and 79% of Pinterest users are more likely to purchase items they’ve seen on Pinterest, compared with Facebook users purchasing behavior you sit up and pay attention. But if you are a business or a brand you have a real problem tapping into those staggering numbers since commercial usage of Pinterest was technically prohibited. But they are looking to change that with the introduction of business pages with a number of new features like ‘pin it’ and ‘follow me’ buttons, ability to have a single brand name instead of first and last name, and a Pinterest board widget to help brands take advantage of the site.
