Ever wonder what makes the Google one of the top companies for productivity and creativity? Recently Google’s chief social evangelist, Gopi Kallayil, explained their nine core principles of innovation. A Look Inside the Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Center in Silicon Valley

Continuing its 18-year foothold within the Silicon Valley, Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled their new research and development center in San Jose, California. I always think it is interesting to see the types of spaces that companies to create to try to foster creativity. This one is really in keep with German fashion as it has a simple exterior with elaborate thinking under the surface. Read more and see the photos here.

I am constantly amazed at the lack of insights and understanding that young designers demonstrate when they interview with me. I thought this was a great article for any young designer because it lays out practices that seem like common sense to those of us who have been in the Web industry for some time might not be as obvious to designers and developers without the benefit of our experience.
