Why not start off the week with a nice surprise… Adobe’s Project Comet is now called Adobe XD and you can download the app preview for Mac and use it NOW! This new application was first announced at Adobe MAX last year lets you design and prototype websites and mobile apps in the first all-in-one tool for UX designers. Download it here and get tutorials on how to use it here.
I’ve been using Adobe XD for a few months now and think that having design and prototyping all in one is a real game changer. Adobe has added some really nice touches to the app to let you do a lot of really cool things like the ability to easily create repeatable content and hook you designs up to live data feeds to keep them up to date. This is just the preview release and full release of the app will be later this year.
Here are some of the core features from their web site:
Built from scratch. Built for speed.
Adobe XD is made for fast, fluid UX design with innovative tools that eliminate speed bumps and deliver breakthrough performance. Switch from design to prototype in a single click. Quickly create wireframes and visual designs, preview changes in real-time, and share prototypes with your team for instant feedback. And it’s just the beginning. We’re adding new features every month.
