But the annual Consumer Electronics Show, going on now, really is the best place to get a peek at the world to come. With every major electronics manufacturer in attendance, jockeying for attention from the crowd, you can spot not just the incremental improvements but the true paradigm shifts that could change the way we work and live. Finding the Healthy Tension Between Being Confident and Collaborative

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people doing extraordinary things: inventors, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, and even a Buddhist master. They are pioneers who shatter norms, change paradigms, and delight us in new ways. Despite vast differences in their styles, personalities, and fields of endeavor, they have striking parallels in what made them successful. Namely, they combine their talent with an important balance between self-confidence and collaboration.

The state of design tools in 2017

2016 started to show some signs that the whole design tool space is maturing. InVision acquired Macaw, then Silver Flows, then Easee, Muzli and some more. Marvel app acquired Pop, Google acquired Pixate and announced new set of tools — Gallery and Stage. Figma is working on some interesting things while Adobe tries to catch up. I have a feeling that 2017 will be fascinating.
