My most popular articles from the past 10 years

In a few weeks I have been writing this blog in all of its various forms for ten years and it doesn’t feel like it’s been nearly that long until I see that during that time I have written nearly 1000 posts. I recently sat down and went through all of those posts and went through my server logs to compile a list of the 25 best and most popular I’ve written since I started this blog. The resulting posts, not surprisingly, aren’t about run of the mill site reviews but instead focus on creativity and creative direction. You can see the entire list here and I will be keeping it updated as future posts hopefully creep into this list.

In addition to the top 25 list I have been working to make a lot of other improvement and publish other content recently. portfolio updates

My portfolio site has badly needed to be updated for at least the past year and I honestly I just haven’t had time to add all the new work I have been creating. Over the next few weeks that is going to change I will be adding A LOT of new projects and updated functionality. I have already added new projects for W Hotels Worldwide including re-imaging of and the W Hotels iPhone app. The other work I will be adding will be highlighted by the re-design of the Starwood Preferred Guest visual language as well as the branding and design work I did for L.A.’s hottest butcher shop – Lindy & Grundy Meats.

Twiiter and Pintrest

Since I have been able to blog as much as I would like over the past few months I have been trying to supplement that by putting more content on Twitter and Pinterest. I have been using Twitter to post smaller article and things of interest that just don’t warrant a full-blown blog post.  Pinterest has become my new obsession and I have built up my boards with all the visually interesting objects and designs I have found in my travels.

Weekly – Journal

If you are looking to see what it is I have been posting and Tweeting all in one place then check out my weekly journal. I have spent a lot of time curating a list of the most interesting people I have known and worked with throughout my career for the journal. You can read and subscribe to it here.

If you have an interest in seeing the photographic record of my travel and day-to-day life you can also find me on the iPhone app under sdgates.
